Price your crafts from real material costs and keep your margin when costs rise.
Bench Price answers a question makers ask: how do I price my crafts and still keep a profit margin? It is a craft pricing tool for people who sell what they make, from candles and soap to jewelry and sewing. Enter your materials once, as you buy them in bulk packs. Build each product from them, add your time and overhead, and Bench Price shows what each item costs to make, the lowest price that still reaches your target margin, and a price with the ending you like.
When a supplier raises a price
- Type the changed pack price once. Every product that uses that material is recalculated.
- One screen lists the products that are now below your target margin first, each with the price that restores it.
- Apply the suggested prices in one tap, or keep your current prices. The new cost is recorded either way.
- Old pack prices are never overwritten. They stay in a dated history, and you can enter a past price with its date.
Materials
- Add each material with its pack size, unit and pack price. Units are oz, lb, g, kg, ml, l, yd, m, in, cm and each.
- The app works out the unit cost and converts between units of the same kind, such as pounds and ounces, kilograms and grams, or yards and meters.
Products
- Set how much of each material goes into a batch, the batch yield, the time per batch and the overhead per item. The hourly rate is set for each product and starts from the default hourly rate in More.
- The price book on the home screen lists every product with its price, cost and margin, flagged in words and color, never color alone.
Cost, price, keep and margin
Each word means the same thing on every screen.
- Cost: what one item costs to make (materials, time and overhead), before fees.
- Fees: your own fee percent and fixed fee, worked out in whole cents each time you sell.
- Keep: the price minus the fees minus the cost.
- Margin: what you keep as a share of the price, after fees.
- Markup: the price minus the cost, as a share of the cost, before fees.
- Lowest price: the smallest whole-cent price whose margin reaches your target.
Choose a price ending (.99, .95, .50, .00) or none. If your fee percent and target margin add up to a hundred percent or more, Bench Price tells you no price can reach that margin and shows no price.
Your numbers
Fee presets are only examples for you to replace. The app does not know or state what any seller charges, so enter your own fee percent and fixed fee. Amounts show in your phone's regional currency where the app supports it, and in US dollars elsewhere. One currency for the whole book, no exchange rates.

Works offline
Your materials, products, prices and history stay on your phone. The price book, the calculations and the price-rise check work with no connection, and there is no account. The network is used only to show the Pro price, buy or restore Pro, and show the store's rating prompt. The More from PierDo link opens pierdo.net in your browser.
A calculation aid
Bench Price works from the numbers you enter. It does not manage stock, orders, invoices, tax or accounting, and it does not connect to any shop account. Check fees, shipping and taxes yourself.
