Classic block puzzle rounds play offline! Clear rows and columns, chain combos!
A row sits one block short. Fill it and the row clears on the spot; misjudge it and the next shape has nowhere clean to land. That one call, made a few hundred times a round, is what a classic block puzzle really comes down to — and this one is built around it, with a grid you can read at a glance and an offline brain game that runs as short or as long as you like. Three shapes wait below the board. Drag one onto the grid and any row or column it completes disappears at once. Nothing falls on its own here, so the board changes only where you change it, and the space a piece leaves behind matters far more than the space it fills. All three shapes have to fit somewhere before the next set arrives, which turns a simple puzzle game into a running question of how much room you can afford to spend. Clears on back-to-back turns build a combo, and each step of that combo raises what the next clear is worth. This is where Block Puzzle: Combo Magic gets interesting. Holding one lane open on purpose, or finishing a row and a column with the same piece, will usually beat taking the nearest easy gap, and the players who finish at the top of the leaderboards are rarely the ones who kept the tidiest board. Scoring is easy to read and hard to max out. A clear is worth more inside a combo, worth more again when a single piece closes two lines at once, and the board tightens as the round goes on. Classic mode has no clock and no level to unlock, so a run ends only when nothing left in the tray fits anywhere on the grid. Bomb Challenge is the second mode and it moves faster. Bombs land on the grid with a countdown that keeps running in seconds whether you place a shape or not, and clearing the row or the column it sits on defuses it. Classic scoring can wait; this mode cannot. Revive and Refresh are there for the moment the grid locks up, each limited to a few uses per run, so spending one still costs something. Weekly and monthly leaderboards rank your best single-round scores against players worldwide, and classic rounds save as you go, so one can be left half-played and picked up later. A three-step guide shows you the first placement, and there is no sign-up. Both modes play with the signal off; Revive, Refresh and the leaderboards are the parts that need a connection.
