A food diary for bloating, IBS and reflux: log meals, symptoms, stool, stress.
Your stomach reacts and you have no idea to what. GutNote is the food diary that keeps the evidence, so you stop relying on memory.
A food diary only works if logging takes seconds. Here a meal is free text plus an optional photo, a symptom is two taps with intensity 1-10, stool is one tap on the Bristol scale, and stress, medication or a supplement take a moment more. Every entry carries an exact time you can edit, so a 10pm dinner stays a 10pm dinner in your food diary.
WHAT YOU CAN LOG
• Meals, with a photo and an educational FODMAP tag
• Bloating, cramps, nausea, heartburn, diarrhoea, constipation, gas and abdominal pain, each at intensity 1-10 with a note
• Stool type on the Bristol scale 1-7
• Stress from calm to intense
• Medication and supplements with dose
SEE THE PATTERN
Pro turns the food diary into analysis. Choose a delay window between 1 and 72 hours, because a reaction rarely arrives at the table. GutNote then shows shares instead of guesses — symptoms followed in 7 of 9 meals — next to a histogram of the hours in between, how many meals the number rests on, a traffic-light calendar of good, mixed and hard days, a 30-day intensity trend, and your most frequent symptoms with their average intensity.
THE 3-PHASE FODMAP GUIDE
Elimination first, then one group reintroduced at a time — fructans, lactose, fructose, polyols, GOS — then a personal summary of what you tolerated, what triggered symptoms and what stayed inconclusive. Self-guided and educational, built on your own food diary entries.
A REPORT YOUR DOCTOR CAN READ
Export your food diary for 7, 30, 90 days or a custom range as a PDF with charts and a day-by-day timeline, or as raw CSV for a spreadsheet.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account, no sign-up, no cloud. Your food diary stays on this phone. Export a JSON backup whenever you want a copy of your food diary, and restore it on a new device.
ALSO INSIDE
Searchable history across meals, symptoms and meds. Your own product list with notes. A home screen widget with today's count and your logging streak. Daily reminders at a time you pick. Dark mode and seven languages, so the food diary reads in yours.
