View DXF drawings & STL or OBJ models, inspect layers, measure & annotate files.
CAD Viewer is a mobile drawing viewer for reviewing DXF files and supported 3D model files, including STL and OBJ. Open technical files on your phone, inspect the drawing, manage layers and add annotations. Keep reference files accessible while discussing a design or studying a model away from your computer.
DXF drawing viewer
Open supported DXF drawings and navigate the displayed geometry. Pan and zoom to inspect the areas you need, while checking that the file has rendered as expected.
STL and OBJ models
Open supported STL and OBJ files for model review. Format compatibility depends on the file’s structure, so complex or unusual files may require another viewer.
Layers and measurements
Show or hide available drawing layers and use the measurement tools to inspect distances. Verify drawing units and scale before relying on a displayed measurement.
Annotations and file library
Add review annotations and keep imported files in the app’s library. Use recent files and pinned items to return to drawings that you consult frequently.
Everyday uses
Useful for studying a DXF floor plan, reviewing a model with a colleague or keeping a small set of technical references available for a site discussion. The app is a viewing and review companion rather than a complete desktop drafting system.
How to use
Import a supported file, open it in the viewer, inspect the drawing and available layers, check units before measuring, then save the annotations or return to the file library.
Important information
Keep original design files as your source of truth. The Android version does not render DWG drawing contents or STEP and IGES models; use supported DXF, STL or OBJ files. Check geometry, units and annotation output before using a file for construction or manufacturing decisions.
Keep the source file
Before converting, compressing or reorganizing a document, keep an original copy if the content matters. An export can change layout, image quality or metadata. Compare the result with the source instead of assuming that successful processing means every detail has been preserved.
Choose the right workflow
Begin with the task you actually need to complete: use the files and tools relevant to this app. Select the relevant tool in this app, review the options it offers and inspect the result before moving it to another application.
Check the complete output
Inspect the entire result rather than only its first visible section. Check orientation, order and small details where relevant. A file can open successfully yet contain a layout or readability issue that only becomes visible later in the document or recording.
Sharing and recipient compatibility
Choose an output the recipient can open and verify that the intended app accepts it. Share only the prepared file you mean to send, and inspect its name and content first. The receiving app may handle a document or media format differently from your own device.
Preview on the intended device
A small-screen preview may hide details that are visible in a larger print or display. If the output will be printed, presented or used elsewhere, check the format and resolution for that destination. Choose an available quality option that fits the practical task.
Access and subscriptions
Some tools, higher usage limits or output options may require paid access. The app shows the available features, price and billing period before purchase. Google Play subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled. Manage or cancel a subscription in Google Play. Trial availability, if offered, is shown at checkout.
Privacy and permissions
Review the relevant permission prompts and the privacy policy for how information is handled. You decide which of your material to import, keep or share. Check the selected content and destination before sharing a result. Online features require connectivity.
