Make time for Scripture with Lumina, an offline Bible reading and study app for Android. Read in your chosen languages, return to a daily verse, and explore explanations when you want help understanding a passage. Start with a verse today or continue where you left off. Read the Bible offline English Bible content is included with the app. Other languages are available as optional downloads, so you can add the Bible text you want to read. Once a language pack has finished downloading and installing, its Bible text is available without an internet connection. Downloads and new online content require internet access. Use Lumina at home, on a commute or during quiet time. Your installed Bible text stays available when Wi-Fi or mobile data does not. Read in one or two languages Choose a main Bible translation and add an optional second translation to compare the same verse. Read in your native language alongside English, or compare two installed translations. Your main language is used for explanations and Ask AI. Change your reading choices in Settings; downloaded Bibles stay on your device. Explore the meaning Open a verse explanation to explore its meaning and context. Explanations included in a downloaded pack or saved on your device can be read offline. If an explanation is missing, Lumina tries to fetch it online and saves successful results for later reading. When available, a saved English explanation provides a fallback if your preferred language is unavailable. Have a question about the verse you are reading? Ask AI lets you ask a custom question with the passage as context. Custom questions need an internet connection and are subject to usage limits. AI responses are study aids; compare them with the biblical text and consider the wider passage. Keep what matters - Bookmark passages you want to revisit. - Highlight verses and add personal study notes. - Find your saved bookmarks, highlights and notes in Saved. - Search book names and find verse text in your active reading languages. - Return to your last reading position from Home. Build a daily reading habit Find a daily Bible verse on Home and enable verse notifications if you want a reminder. Follow a built-in reading plan and mark each day complete to keep track of your progress and reading streak. Choose a pace that fits your day: - Read the Bible in a Year - The New Testament in 90 Days - Psalms & Proverbs in 30 Days - The Gospels in 40 Days A short daily reading can be a starting point for reflection, personal devotion, or a conversation with your Bible study group. Open the passage around today's verse to read it in context, then save a note to capture what you want to remember. Share a verse Create a Bible verse image with the verse text and reference, choose a background and shape, and share it through the Android share menu. Send Scripture to family, friends or your study group using a compatible app on your phone. Your study, on your device You do not need a Lumina account to read or use the study tools. Bookmarks, highlights, notes and reading plan progress are stored locally on your device; Lumina does not offer account-based cloud sync for them. The app uses online services for downloads, AI requests, advertising and purchase features. Free reading, optional Pro Lumina is free to download and includes ads and optional in-app purchases. Bible reading, downloaded language packs, bookmarks, highlights, notes and built-in reading plans are available without a Pro subscription.
