New in 1.1: share your colony card with a preview first, so you see exactly what goes out. With Pro the card goes out without the Combwell line. After your second inspection or first honey harvest Combwell shows once what Pro adds: the varroa year step by step for your own colony. Clearer limits when you add a third colony, a direct way to all reminders in the settings and small fixes in purchase handling.
Beekeeping hive inspection by voice, hive tracker and varroa counts. No account.
Combwell is the beekeeper hive log you can use with gloves on. Every colony gets its own hive card: inspections, queen, varroa counts, treatments, feeding and harvest. No account, no ads, and everything works offline at the apiary. HIVE INSPECTION IN SECONDS • Big tiles you can hit with gloves: queen seen, eggs, brood, queen cells, temper, stores. • The frame view: look into the hive from above and mark each frame as brood, honey, drone frame, foundation or empty. Swipe across several frames in one go. • Speak instead of typing: "queen seen, eggs, eight frames, five frames of brood, calm, no queen cells". Combwell sets the tiles and keeps the sentence as a note. Uses the speech recognition of your phone, offline where available. • Save sits at the bottom, in reach of your thumb. Sun mode switches to maximum contrast for bright daylight. VARROA MONITORING WITH THRESHOLDS AND SOURCES • Count with the mite drop board, sugar roll or alcohol wash. Combwell calculates mites per day or percent and shows a traffic light for the current month. • Every threshold has a "Why?" with its source: the Honey Bee Health Coalition (Tools for Varroa Management, 9th edition 2026) and the UK National Bee Unit, or the German bee institutes. • Pro: the varroa year in six steps per colony, ticked off from your own counts and treatments, with charts. EVERY QUEEN WITH HER OWN HISTORY • Year, marking colour chosen automatically from the year (white, yellow, red, green, blue), clipped, line and source. Edit her any time. • Requeen without losing anything: the old queen moves to the history with the reason (replaced, swarmed, lost, supersedure). • Pro: queen history with inspections, how often she was seen, temper and the honey of her time. TREATMENTS, FEEDING, HARVEST • Log treatments with product, amount, supplier, receipt and withdrawal period. Treatment windows and the "honey first" rule are explained with sources. Combwell never shows doses: follow the label or your vet. • Feeding and honey harvest per colony; honey per year and per colony in the statistics (Pro). REMINDERS THAT DO NOT FORGET One message a day at your time, only if something is due: swarm checks every 7 days in swarm season (adjustable), queen cells found, and with Pro the end of a treatment and the check count afterwards. Works after a restart, without opening the app. MONTH PLAN What to do this month, from winter rest to the winter treatment. YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS • No account, no tracking, no ads. Everything stays on your phone. • Backup file for a new phone. • Pro: PDF hive cards for each colony, the medicine record as PDF, and a CSV table. • Share a colony profile picture with your club or friends. FREE AND PRO Free: one apiary with two colonies, inspections with voice input and frame view, varroa counts with thresholds, month plan, swarm check reminders, backup. Combwell Pro: unlimited apiaries and colonies, varroa plan, queen history, statistics, PDF and CSV export, all reminders, sharing without the brand line. Monthly or yearly, the yearly plan with a free trial. We remind you one day before the trial ends, and you can cancel any time in Google Play. Combwell is not an authority and is not connected to any authority. Thresholds are guide values of bee institutes, not a diagnosis.
