A Korean word search like no other: climb a world ranking and rise through the royal court! On the subway, over lunch or in bed, how about a puzzle that wakes up your brain? NOTE: The words are in KOREAN, so this app is for people who read Korean. A classic word search, plus a world ranking and an avatar who rises through the ranks of old Korea (Joseon). What makes it different • World ranking: compete with players around the world on one leaderboard • Avatar growth: start as a young Pupil and earn a higher office with every puzzle • Helpers: figures of the Joseon court join you one by one • Build your home: turn an empty lot into a thatched hut, a tiled house, even a palace • Just swipe: draw a line across the letters and you are done • No timer: solve at your own pace ■ World ranking: one step higher today The more you solve, the higher you climb. • Weekly ranking: starts fresh every week, so anyone can go for first place. • All-time ranking: shows who has built the most skill. • Palace ranking: shows who has built the finest home. Finish high last week and a laurel wreath frames your avatar all week long. Each week, the top three take the Hall of Fame podium. Tap any player to see their avatar, helpers and home. You join the ranking the moment you clear a puzzle, even without signing in. ■ Rise through the royal court Every puzzle raises your level, and your avatar earns a new office and a new court robe at each stage. Start as a village Pupil and work your way up through Town Magistrate, Royal Inspector and Provincial Governor toward Chief State Councillor. Each new stage also moves your avatar to a new place. Choose a male or female avatar any time. After each clear, a reward map shows how far it is to your next office or next friend. ■ Helpers from the Joseon court As you level up, helpers join one by one: a Court Painter, a Police Detective, a Court Healer, a Court Musician… They circle your avatar. Spin the circle to bring one to the front, or tap to see their ability and level. ■ Gather Roof Tiles and build your home Gather Roof Tiles to raise a hut on an empty lot, then grow it into a tiled house, a mansion, a government office and a palace. More homes keep opening beyond that. Roof Tiles also level up your helpers. ■ Day and night Your home scene shifts between day and night, and the puzzle screen takes on its colors. ■ Just swipe Swipe from the first letter of a word to the last. Every word you find stays marked with a bright color band. Words hide across, down and on the diagonal. You can even find hidden words that are not on the list. ■ Build your Korean vocabulary The words are everyday Korean, and every word comes with its meaning. As you get better, some puzzles show only the meanings, so you recall each word before you find it. ■ New puzzles without end Start with small, easy puzzles that widen as you get better. No difficulty to pick. Letters stay large and easy on the eyes. Replay cleared puzzles from Past Puzzles anytime and beat your own time. ■ Tools when you are stuck • Hint: shows where the first letter of an unfound word is • Open word list: shows the words to find in a meanings-only puzzle Finish without any tools and you get a Perfect. ■ Easy to start, and it plays offline Your first puzzle comes with a hands-on guide.
