AI clip maker: long video to short clips with auto captions, on your phone.
Clip.video is an AI clip maker that turns long videos into short vertical clips with auto captions. Pick a podcast, interview, livestream, lecture, webinar or vlog, and the app finds the highlights worth sharing, cuts them into short clips, reframes them to vertical video around the speaker and adds captions that follow every word. Clips are edited on your phone, ready to post as Shorts, Reels or TikToks. AI CLIP MAKER: LONG VIDEO TO SHORT CLIPS Choose a long video and Clip.video picks the strongest moments for you. Each clip comes with an AI title, an opening hook, the reason it was picked and a score, so you can decide quickly which ones to post. Tell the AI what to look for, such as funny moments, key advice or product tips, and choose the clip length that suits your channel. AUTO CAPTIONS AND SUBTITLES Speech is transcribed automatically and turned into captions timed to each word. Choose a caption style, from bold highlighted words to clean subtitles, or turn captions off. The spoken language is detected for you, or you can set it yourself. VERTICAL VIDEO REFRAME Wide videos are reframed for phones by following the speaker's face, so the person talking stays in the picture. Export in 9:16 vertical, 1:1 square, 4:5 portrait or 16:9 widescreen. ON-DEVICE VIDEO EDITING Videos from your gallery or camera are cut, reframed and captioned right on your phone, and the video file never leaves your device. To pick the highlights, clip.video receives only the transcript with its timings (on phones that cannot transcribe on the device, the audio track only). Before making clips you can watch the video and trim it to the part you want. PODCAST CLIPS AND INTERVIEW HIGHLIGHTS Long conversations are where short clips work best. Turn a podcast episode, an interview or a panel into a set of short highlight clips, each one able to stand on its own. TRANSCRIPTS Need only the words? Make a transcript instead of clips and export it as subtitles (SRT or VTT) or plain text. IMPORT FROM A LINK Share or paste a link to a video on YouTube, Vimeo or Google Drive, and clip.video imports it and makes the clips on its own servers, the same way its website does. Link imports need an account. SAVE AND SHARE • Play every clip in the app. • Save clips to your gallery or share them straight to the app where you post. • Your videos and clips stay in the Library, also offline. • A notification tells you when your clips are ready, so you can leave the app while it works. WHO IT IS FOR • Creators who want more short videos from every long one. • Podcasters who want clips of each episode. • Marketers and small businesses repurposing webinars, demos and interviews into social video. • Teachers and coaches sharing the key moments of a lesson. HOW IT WORKS 1. Pick a video, record one, or share one to Clip.video from another app. 2. Choose clips, captioned video or transcript, and adjust style, shape and length. 3. Get vertical clips with captions, then save or share them. ACCOUNT AND PLANS You can start without an account within a daily allowance, and the app shows how much you have left. Signing in, with an emailed code or a password, adds more. Plans with no daily limit, longer videos, more clips per video, higher resolution and no watermark, and one-time extra minutes, are available inside the app through Google Play. You can delete your account from inside the app. AI YOU CAN REPORT Titles, hooks, scores and chosen moments are made by AI and can be wrong. Every clip has a Report button. Questions or ideas?
