A big, readable word search. Nothing in the grid that is not in the list.
Scrutix is a word search made for eyes and fingers that are no longer twenty. ONE PROMISE Anything you can read in the grid that is not in the list is not a word. Every other word search fills the empty squares with random letters. Chance writes real words there; you find one, you tap it, and the app refuses without a word of explanation. Here the filling is checked square by square against a full dictionary. Nothing readable hides in the grid that is not on your list. A GRID YOU CAN SEE · Large letters, and the rest of the app follows your system font size all the way up to 200 %. · High contrast, checked by calculation rather than by eye. · Every word you find gets a colour AND a pattern, so two words that cross stay apart, including for colour blind players. · Nothing moves under your finger. No animation, no bouncing, nothing that slides away. TWO WAYS TO TAKE A WORD Drag from the first letter to the last, or simply tap the first letter, then the last. No long press, no double tap, nothing timed. And your finger does not have to be precise: the selection snaps to the straight line nearest to it. NOTHING TO LOSE No timer. No score. No lives. No streak to keep up. A grid is finished when every word is found, and that is the only ending there is. A wrong selection simply fades away: no buzzer, no penalty, no counter. You were not wrong, you were looking. Leave whenever you like. You come back exactly where you left off. YOURS TO SET Three grid sizes. Diagonals off by default, backwards words off by default, both one tap away. Light and dark. Sound and vibration, or neither. Plays entirely offline. No account, no sign up, nothing shared, nothing published. Available in most major languages, for the hidden words as well as for the app itself, and the two are set separately: you can look for Spanish words with a French interface. Free, supported by advertising.
