Holy Bible in Yoruba. Read, search, and bookmark scripture — fully offline.
Bíbélì Mímọ́ is the complete Holy Bible in Yorùbá, built for people who want to read scripture in their own language without fighting the app to do it. All 66 books are included, Genesisi through Ìfihàn — the full Old and New Testament. Everything is stored inside the app, so it opens instantly and works with no internet connection at all. On a plane, in a village with no signal, on a phone with no data left: it works the same. SEARCH THAT UNDERSTANDS YORÙBÁ Most apps make you type tone marks perfectly or find nothing. This one does not. Search for "ife" and you will find "ìfẹ́". Search for "olorun" and you will find "Ọlọ́run". Type however is convenient and the app matches the accented text for you, then highlights exactly what it found. The whole Bible is indexed — every verse, searchable in a moment. BUILT FOR ACTUAL READING The typefaces were chosen for full Yorùbá diacritic coverage, including the under-dot on ẹ, ọ, and ṣ together with the tone marks above them. Nothing renders as a box or a stray accent floating in the wrong place. You can set the text size to what your eyes want, switch between a serif face for long reading and a sans-serif face if you prefer it, and choose light or dark. Dark mode is a deep indigo drawn from àdìrẹ cloth rather than flat black, which is easier to read at night. KEEP YOUR PLACE The app remembers the chapter you last had open and offers it when you come back. Bookmark any verse and it lands in a list you can return to. Copy a verse to your clipboard or send it to WhatsApp, Messages, or anywhere else with one tap. NOTHING WATCHING YOU No account. No sign-in. No email address. No analytics, no tracking, no data sent anywhere, because the app makes no network requests at all. Your bookmarks and reading position stay on your phone and are visible to nobody but you. The design draws on Yorùbá material culture — àdìrẹ indigo, parchment, and a single brass accent — because a Bible in Yorùbá should not look like a Bible in English with the words swapped out. Free. No ads at launch.
