The Hausa Bible beside the English KJV, verse by verse. Offline, free.
Maganar Allah puts the Hausa Bible and the English King James Version side by side, verse by verse, so you can read scripture in your own language and check it against English in the same glance. All 66 books are included in both languages — Tsohon Alkawari and Sabon Alkawari, Farawa to Wahayin Yahaya, Genesis to Revelation. The full text lives inside the app, so it opens instantly and reading works with no internet connection. THREE WAYS TO READ • Hausa only • English only • Duka biyu — both together In Duka biyu you choose which language leads. Hausa leads by default at full size; English sits beneath each verse, a step smaller, behind a fine rule. One tap on "Harshe na farko · Primary" swaps them, and the app remembers your choice. VERSES THAT REALLY MATCH Translations do not always number verses the same way. Where the Hausa text joins several verses into one — common in the lists of Ezra, Nehemiya and Littafin Kidaya — Maganar Allah shows the whole range (for example 36–39) beside every English verse it covers, instead of letting the two texts slide out of step. SEARCH WITHOUT THE HOOKED LETTERS Typing ɓ, ɗ and ƙ on a phone is slow. You don't have to. Search "kauna" and find ƙauna. Search "daya" and find ɗaya. Search "saad" and find sa'ad. The match is highlighted in the verse, and English is searched at the same time. LETTERS THAT RENDER PROPERLY Many apps show ɓ, ɗ and ƙ as empty boxes because their fonts lack them. Every typeface here was checked against every character in the text before it was included. Choose Charis SIL or EB Garamond for reading. THE PSALMS AS POETRY Zabura, Ayuba, Ishaya, Karin Magana and the other poetic books are laid out line by line, as they are meant to be read. MADE FOR LONG READING Adjustable text size. A deep green night mode that is never harsh pure white on black, and a soft lime-plaster day mode. Ayar Yini — a verse of the day — each morning. Bookmarks, and the app reopens where you stopped. Copy or share any verse, in one language or both, to WhatsApp or anywhere else. NO ACCOUNT No sign-in and no profile. Bookmarks and your reading position stay on your phone. Reading and search work fully offline; the app connects to the internet only to show ads, which never appear on scripture pages. The design comes from zane, the interlaced fretwork of Hausa walls — two strands crossing and re-crossing without breaking, like two languages carrying one Word. Free, supported by ads.
