Sproutsill helps you track and water your houseplants easily
Sproutsill is a charming plant care journal that lives right on your device, giving your indoor garden a sunny windowsill home. You can quickly add each of your potted plants by giving it a nickname, choosing a type from a small set of categories, and setting how many days between waterings. There is also a space for extra care notes, so you can jot down potting dates or observations as your sprouts grow. The Bench tab serves as your daily dashboard, where a small hanging kraft paper tag shows your total plant count and exactly how many need a drink today. From that same dashboard you will find a copper watering can button that waters every thirsty plant at once, instantly refreshing their hidden watering dates. A charming row of the three most recently added plants sits right on the windowsill so your newest additions are always in view. When you switch to the Water tab, you see only the plants that are overdue for watering, sorted with the driest at the top. Each plant card here wears a “Thirsty” label, and a single tap on “Water This Plant” dampens its soil with a quick dew-dot animation, marking today’s care without any confirmation dialogs. Over in the Plants tab, your full collection scrolls as a tidy list of potted-plant cards, each showing a tiny terracotta pot, a type badge, and a blue water droplet if it is due or a grey one if it is doing fine. Tapping a card lets you edit any detail, while a long-press or swipe removes the plant from your journal for good. The You tab keeps things personal with a sprouting-seed avatar, your total plant count, and a simple option to reset the local data if you ever want a fresh start. Everything you record stays strictly on your phone using only local storage, so you never need an account, an internet connection, or cloud sync. By blending a warm, handcrafted visual style with practical watering reminders, Sproutsill helps you enjoy the rhythm of plant care without overwhelming schedules. Whether you are tending kitchen herbs, desktop succulents, or a tiny sill of blooming flowers, this little journal keeps your routine as gentle as morning light on a windowsill.
