Gatherly helps you organize casual get-togethers with friends
Gatherly is a tactile and warmly familiar way to organise casual picnics, potlucks, and game nights with friends. The whole experience is built around a brown paper lunch bag resting on a red-and-white gingham picnic blanket, where every plan lives on a handwritten kraft paper tag. The Board tab gives you a dashboard view pinned to the bag, showing the number of upcoming gatherings in white chalk and the very next gathering on a stitched fabric label. Three of your most recently created gatherings appear as miniature coloured twine tags right inside the bag for a quick glance. A floating quick-add button on the Board jumps you straight to a blank tag so you can capture an idea without leaving the dashboard. When you want to add a new plan, the Add tab presents that blank kraft tag where you jot down a name, pick an event type from four twine colours—mustard for Potluck, coral for Game Night, mint for Tea, and lavender for Other—then set a date and any extra notes. Tapping save clips the finished tag onto your board instantly. All your gatherings appear in the Gatherings tab as a scrollable list of tagged cards, where you can search by name, filter between upcoming and past events, and swipe to delete anything you no longer need. Completed gatherings are marked with a tiny pressed flower petal glued to the tag corner. Your favourites earn a small red gingham fabric patch stitched on instead of a star or heart. The You tab keeps a local nickname for you, a count of all the gatherings you have hosted, and even lets you switch the background gingham pattern for a different feel. Everything is stored right on your device, so there are no accounts, no logins, and no cloud syncing to worry about—your plans stay as private as a note tucked inside a lunch bag. Empty boards are never intimidating; they simply show a soft pencil note reading “No gatherings planned – clip a tag to start!” inviting you to begin. Gatherly turns organising a casual get-together into a small craft project, making the planning itself feel light, personal, and effortlessly fun.
