EZ-Link & NETS balance, Singapore MRT map, directions, live bus times.
Check your Singapore EZ-Link card balance in one tap, then find your way around the MRT. Hold your EZ-Link or NETS FlashPay card to the back of your phone and instantly see what's left on it, when it expires, and every MRT and bus trip it remembers. Open the Singapore MRT map for every MRT and LRT station, directions between stations and live bus arrival times.
WHY YOU'LL USE IT
A stored-value card doesn't show what's left on it. This app reads it over NFC and shows the balance in Singapore dollars and your own currency. Then the map shows how busy your station is and when your bus comes.
CARD BALANCE AND TRIPS
• Card balance in S$ and in your home currency
• Expiry date, and the card number as printed on the card
• Full MRT and bus trip history, newest first
• Bus trips combined into one ride: tap-in charge and tap-out refund joined, so you see the real cost
• MRT trips with their stations, and top-ups with where they were made
• Weekly and monthly spending summary: bus, MRT and top-ups
• Your most-used MRT routes and bus services
• An estimate of how many days your balance will last at your recent pace, clearly labelled as an estimate
• Every trip saved on your phone: the card itself only remembers its last 30
• Several cards, each with its own nickname
• Optional reminder 30 days before a card expires
• Export your whole history as a CSV file for expense claims or your own records
• English, 简体中文, বাংলা and Bahasa Melayu
SINGAPORE MRT MAP, LRT AND BUS
• A street map of the whole MRT and LRT network, every station on it
• Tap a station to see how crowded it is right now, its exits, the first and last train and how often trains come
• Directions between two stations: the scheduled time on the train and where to change lines. Waiting and walking time are not included
• Search stations by name or code, and highlight a single line
• A bus view with every bus stop in Singapore
• Tap a bus stop for the next buses of each service in minutes, and how full each bus is
• Search bus stops by name, road or the number on the pole
The map and the live information need an internet connection. Station crowd levels, bus arrival times, train timetables and bus stops come from the Land Transport Authority's DataMall; map data is from OpenStreetMap contributors.
HOW TO USE THE CARD READER
1. Turn on NFC in your phone's settings.
2. Open the app and hold your card flat against the back of the phone for a second or two.
3. Read your balance and trips. Tap again any time to refresh.
WORKS WITH
Stored-value EZ-Link cards and NETS FlashPay cards (the standard Singapore CEPAS cards). The app only reads the card: it can't top up, add value or change anything on it. It does not read bank cards, or phones used for SimplyGo or other contactless payments.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No account, no sign-up
• Your card data stays on your phone and is never uploaded
• Reading your card works offline. The map and live information use the internet and send only the part of the map, station or bus stop you are looking at. The app never uses your location
• Free with ads, never shown while a card is being read. A one-time purchase removes ads for life
• Anonymous usage and crash reports help us fix problems and never include your card number, balance or trips
NEED NFC
Reading a card needs an Android phone with NFC (the antenna is often near the camera or the middle of the back); move the card slowly if it doesn't read. The map works on any phone.
UNOFFICIAL APP
Singapore MRT Bus Card Balance is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by EZ-Link, SimplyGo, NETS, the Land Transport Authority or any transit operator. Card and brand names are used only to describe compatibility.
A card that doesn't read? Contact us from the Play Store listing. In Settings, tap the version row 7 times to unlock a developer menu and share a read of your card with us (it holds the card's number and trips, so send it only to us).
