T-money balance checker + Seoul subway map. Works with WOWPASS & Cashbee cards
Check your T-money balance with one tap, then find your way on the Seoul subway. Hold your Korean transit card to the back of your phone to see the balance, card type and recent trips in your own language, with no internet needed. Then open the subway map to find any station in Korea, see how long the ride takes, and catch the last train. BUILT FOR VISITORS TO KOREA T-money, WOWPASS and the other Korean transit cards work on every subway and bus in the country, but the balance is never printed on the card. This app reads it over NFC in about a second, shows it in your home currency, and estimates how many rides you have left, so you know before you reach the gate. CHECK YOUR CARD BALANCE • T-money balance in won and in your home currency, on every tap • Card type and brand, shown only when the card itself says so, never guessed • Every trip kept on your phone, even after the card has forgotten it (a card holds only a couple of dozen) • Rides left, clearly labelled as an estimate • Save several cards with nicknames: yours, your family's, a spare SEOUL AND KOREA SUBWAY MAP • Every metro and urban-rail station in Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Daejeon and Gwangju on one map • Search in English or Korean, by station name or number • Station details: the lines, the stations either side, and the first and last train of the day • Subway directions with official in-train times on Seoul Metro lines 1–8, showing every change • Seoul bus stops with the buses that stop there • Stations near you, and a star to save your hotel's station Station search, directions and saved places work offline. The street map underneath needs a connection. TRAVEL GUIDE, OFFLINE • How to top up your T-money card • How to get a refund of your card balance before you fly home • Korean phrases to show station staff • Tips for getting around Korea by subway and bus NINE LANGUAGES English, 한국어, 简体中文, 繁體中文, 日本語, ไทย, Tiếng Việt, Bahasa Indonesia and Español. The app starts in the one closest to your phone's language. SUPPORTED CARDS T-money, Cashbee/EZL, Rail Plus, Hanpay/iM One Pass, and tourist cards built on them such as WOWPASS and Korea Tour Card. Other cards that follow the same Korean transit-card standard should work too. Your phone needs NFC. PRIVACY No account, no login, no payment. Your card number, balance and trips never leave your phone. Your location is used only when you open the map or tap Near me, and is never stored or sent. Exchange rates are fetched once a day. Ads are served by Google AdMob, and anonymous usage statistics and crash reports go to Google Firebase to help fix problems; they never include your card number, balance, trips or location. Free, supported by ads. An ad never appears while your card is being read. Unofficial app, not affiliated with T-money Co., Ltd., Locus Mobility (Cashbee), KORAIL or any Korean transit operator. Card and brand names are used only to describe compatibility. Map data: station list from 국가철도공단 (Korea National Railway), in-train times and first and last trains from 서울교통공사 (Seoul Metro), bus stops from the Seoul Metropolitan Government, all under the Korea Open Government Licence Type 1.
