Incoming calls can now be answered by sliding sideways, and a call keeps going in a floating window when you leave the call screen. • Choose your answer gesture: swipe up and down, or slide side to side • The slide mirrors in right-to-left languages • Put your own picture behind the call screens, with no new permission • Mute, turn on the speaker or hang up from the floating window • Fixed a call shortcut leaving the home screen unresponsive after a cancel
Advanced Operational Signal & Phone Dialer
Phone is a dialer and call manager that works entirely on your device. There is no account, no sign-in, no advertising and no analytics, and the app does not request the Internet permission, so it has no way to send your numbers, your call history or your contacts anywhere. Calling and call history • Dialpad with search across both your contacts and your call history • Call history grouped by day, with filters for missed, outgoing, incoming and blocked calls • Contacts and favourites, with a call action on every row • Full-screen incoming calls, with answer and decline buttons instead of a swipe if you prefer • Speed dial: assign a contact to any dialpad key from 2 to 9, then press and hold to call Call screening you control Each screened number carries its own outcome rather than a single block switch. A call can be rejected outright, silenced so the phone stays quiet, kept out of the call history, or let through without a missed-call notification. • Create a rule before a number ever calls you, for one number or for a whole prefix • Keep an always-allow list, so a broad prefix rule never blocks the one caller who matters • Screen callers who are not in your contacts • Choose whether this app screens your calls or another app continues to do it Caller names that are not lost When your network supplies a caller's name, it appears while the phone is ringing and on the call screen, and it stays in your call history afterwards, marked so you can tell it apart from a name you saved yourself. Settings that stay out of the way • Start on the dialpad instead of the tab you used last • Confirm before dialling, so an accidental touch never places a call • Answer with buttons rather than the swipe gesture • Ignore the proximity sensor, for handsets whose sensor blanks the screen incorrectly Built to be read One generated colour palette, light and dark themes that follow your system setting, roomy lists, and type that respects your font-size setting. Permissions and their purpose • Phone: places your calls and identifies which SIM each call uses • Call log: shows your call history and records the calls you place here • Contacts: shows contacts, caller names and dialpad search results • Notifications: incoming, ongoing and missed-call notifications • Camera: carrier video calls, requested only when a video call starts Twelve permissions in total. The app does not request the Internet permission, and does not ask to send messages, record audio, read your location, or run at startup. Open source Phone is released under the Apache License, Version 2.0. Source code on GitLab The privacy policy is bundled in the app under Settings > About, and published at the Phone privacy policy page. Support: info@pikcn.com
