Plan sun paths, sunrise, sunset and golden hour for any date.
Know where the sun will be before you head out. Sun Position shows the solar path, sunrise and sunset times, and golden hour and blue hour for your chosen place and date. Plan a photo, compare seasonal daylight, choose a campsite or explore sunlight for your garden. Look ahead to another date, save the location and return to the same plan later. Core planning works offline, without an account, advertisements or in-app purchases. EXPLORE THE SUN'S PATH See the sun's altitude and true-north azimuth at the time you choose. Move the time slider or play through the day to follow its path. Switch between horizon and compass views, jump to sunrise or sunset and compare two dates to understand how the path changes through the seasons. PLAN FOR GOLDEN HOUR AND BLUE HOUR Check morning and evening light windows alongside sunrise, sunset and daylight duration. Save a moment for your next shoot and return to the selected location, date and time. These calculated windows help you plan; they do not predict weather or the actual colour of the sky. SEE THE PATH THROUGH YOUR CAMERA On compatible devices, view the calculated sun path and hourly markers over the rear-camera preview. Retract controls for a clearer view, use portrait or landscape and switch lenses where the device supports it. The selected date and place remain visible. Camera orientation depends on device sensors and calibration; if suitable hardware or permission is missing, use the diagram instead. CHOOSE A PLACE YOUR WAY • Use your current location when you choose to grant access. • Enter coordinates manually, without GPS permission. • Save favourite places with notes and the appropriate time zone. • Plan for a location away from home using its local time. SAVE PLANS THAT YOU CAN REOPEN Create Photo, Camping or Garden plans with a place, date, time and note. Edit, duplicate or reopen the exact context. Compare summer and winter sun paths before choosing a date or visiting a spot. KEEP USEFUL TIMES CLOSE Add an Android home-screen widget for your chosen place, with configurable information and a transparent background option. Set optional sunrise, sunset or photo-hour reminders with your preferred offset and weekdays. Reminder delivery follows Android's scheduling and notification settings. EXPORT AND SHARE Save or share a complete sun-path diagram or a camera-overlay image with its planning context. Export a local backup of places, plans and settings, and validate an import before replacing your saved data. Sun Position calculates a solar trajectory. It does not know whether buildings, trees, terrain or clouds block your view. Camera alignment is not professional survey accuracy.
