We improved gain, loss and history messages and clarified the difference from your reference Elo. You still change your level manually. Repeating puzzles does not affect your rating. Your accounts, previous ratings, progress and times are preserved.

Train chess defense and prevention with 12,000 unique puzzles, nine themes and three levels in one app. Learn to respond to your opponent’s threats, review your mistakes and check your progress with mixed-theme tests. THREE LEVELS, 4,000 PUZZLES IN EACH • Intermediate: reference playing strength 1000–1500 Elo. • Advanced: reference playing strength 1500–2000 Elo. • High Level: reference playing strength 2000–2500 Elo. Choose your level when creating your profile. It stays the same even if your rating changes; you can change it manually from the index. The ranges are guidelines, not official FIDE equivalents. NINE DEFENSIVE RESOURCES Escape check, block a check, capture the attacker, rescue a piece, reinforce the defense, protect your king, stop promotion, defend with counterplay and prevent material loss. Puzzle counts vary by theme. LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES Return to the position you got wrong and solve it again. Your notebook keeps up to your last 100 distinct puzzles. A correct retry improves the puzzle’s status in its theme without changing your rating. CREATE YOUR TESTS Mix new puzzles from different themes at your chosen level, with the theme hidden until your attempt. You can also create tests from your mistakes once you have at least five available. Correct solutions are recorded in the corresponding themes. YOUR PROGRESS, AT YOUR OWN PACE Open any puzzle directly from the numbered map and continue where you left off. Record your time on each puzzle and improve your personal best by solving it again. Enter your name or nickname and your FIDE, online or estimated Elo to start your Silicio rating. Before your first attempt, you see the points you can gain or lose. Solving without mistakes adds points; your first mistake deducts points once only. Repeating puzzles that have already been rated neither adds nor deducts points. A BOARD FOR STUDY Drag pieces or tap their starting and destination squares. Coordinates outside the board, sounds, distinct figurines for White and Black, and solutions with numbered chess notation. Review each move, step forward or backward and flip the board. Up to five local profiles with independent progress on one device. Offline training, with English or Spanish automatically following your device language. One payment to download, with no ads, subscriptions or in-app purchases. The exercises train concrete threats and defensive sequences; they do not replace a full course in strategic prophylaxis. Silicio rating is an internal measure and does not guarantee an Elo increase.
