VoiceTiles is a simple type-to-talk app. Type a message or tap a saved phrase, press SPEAK, and your phone says it out loud. Big keys, two layouts. Large, high-contrast keys with haptic feedback. Use the familiar QWERTY keyboard or the alphabetical ABC layout and switch between them with one tap. Keys never move within a layout, so your fingers learn where they are, and key labels grow with your phone's font size. Quick phrases. Start with ready-made phrases such as "I need help", "Yes", "No", "Thank you" and "I need a break" in Quick and Feelings tabs. Tap a phrase to add it to your message, or press and hold it to speak it straight away. Add, edit, reorder and delete phrases, and make, rename and reorder your own tabs. Follow along. Words light up as they are spoken (the whole message lights up on voices that don't report word timing). SPEAK turns into STOP while it talks. Show it big. Show puts your message across the whole screen in large text, and Turn for partner flips it around for the person sitting across from you. Quiet mode. When sound isn't right for the moment, SPEAK shows the message full screen instead of saying it. Your voice, your pace. Choose any text-to-speech voice installed on your phone, preview it, and set the speaking rate from 0.5x to 1.5x. Offline voices work with no internet connection; online voices are hidden unless you turn them on. Light, dark or system theme. No account, no ads, no tracking. Your phrases and settings stay on your phone and are never sent to us. VoiceTiles is free, with no in-app purchases. VoiceTiles is a general communication tool. It is not a medical device.
