Bug fixes: dB values now display correctly in right-to-left languages such as Arabic.
Mic test: live dB level meter, silence alert, headset and Bluetooth mic checks.
Is your microphone working? Find out in seconds. Mic Test shows your mic level live in dBFS and warns you when no sound reaches it. Buying a used or new phone? Calls cutting out, voice messages sounding muffled, or people can't hear you on video calls? Run a quick mic test before you trust the phone or the headset. Features, all free: • Live level readout in dBFS and a live waveform • Silence warning when no sound reaches the mic • "Your microphone works" result after a quick test • Test every mic: bottom, front, back, wired headset, Bluetooth and USB • Test history, stored on your device only • Share a text test report with your device details and levels • 10 languages: English, Turkish, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, French, Arabic, Ukrainian and Russian Who it is for: • Checking a used or new phone before you buy it • Troubleshooting calls, voice messages and video calls • Testing wired earphones or Bluetooth earbuds before you rely on them • Phone repair shops checking mics before and after a repair How to run a test: 1. Open the app and tap Start Test. 2. Speak normally, or tap gently near the mic opening. 3. Watch the live level, then tap Stop Test to read the result. Common questions Why can't people hear me on calls? Test the bottom mic first: it is the main voice mic on most phones. If it shows a level, test your headset or Bluetooth mic next. Is it my earbuds or my phone? Test the built-in mic and the headset mic one after the other. The one that stays silent is the problem. Does Mic Test record me? No. Audio never leaves your device. The app only measures the sound level while the test is running. Good to know: Mic Test measures the sound your phone receives. It does not test speakers or the camera. Results depend on your device and its mics. The app is free and shows ads: a small banner and occasional full-screen ads at natural breaks.
