Speaker Test checks the speakers of your phone or tablet in under a minute: each speaker, stereo left and right, sound quality and a water eject tone. SPEAKER CHECK Play a tone on each speaker one by one, answer "Heard it" or "Didn't hear" and get a result card. A weak or silent speaker is easy to spot. STEREO LEFT / RIGHT Play a tone on the left, the right or both sides and hear whether each side works on its own. WATER EJECT Pulses of a low 165 Hz tone make the speaker membrane vibrate, which can help push water and dust out of the grille after your phone gets wet. Open Speaker check and answer after each tone. The result card shows what passed. Why do left and right sound the same? Some phones have only one speaker. Then left and right play from the same speaker. Can it get water out of the speaker? The 165 Hz tone can help push water out. It does not repair water damage. Is my audio recorded? No. The app does not ask for microphone permission and never records audio. Free, supported by ads. The banner is hidden while a test tone plays; an occasional full-screen ad may appear when you leave a test.
