Travel journal with offline HTML and PDF books, saved day notes and expenses
Keep a travel journal with offline day pages and turn your trip diary into an HTML or PDF travel book. Write notes, keep original photos and record places and expenses as your journey unfolds. ▶ TAKE YOUR TRAVEL BOOK WITH YOU • Open Export, select a trip and choose Create HTML book or Create PDF book. • HTML books contain their photos and overview map inside the file for viewing in a browser offline. PDF books are ready to open in a PDF reader. • Your book brings together day notes, weather notes, moods, recorded places, photos and expenses. Use Share file to send a created file through your phone's share sheet. • Large books split into volumes between days. Check that you have kept or delivered every volume after sharing. ▶ WRITE WITH A VISIBLE SAVE STATUS • The day editor shows Saving…, Saved or a save error while you write. Notes save automatically, including during continuous typing. • When a durable draft is newer than its journal entry, it is recovered when the journal loads. A failed save keeps the current draft in memory and retries; check for Saved before leaving. • Local backup includes journal records and photo files. Keep the manifest and all parts for a full restore; missing parts can be attached later. ▶ YOUR DAYS, PLACES AND SPENDING • Pick trip dates on a calendar. Trips builds a day-by-day timeline showing each day's first photo; shortening the dates keeps populated days under Outside trip dates. • Add Notes, a Weather note and a Mood to each day. Import original photos to keep their original files in app storage. • Record expenses in different currencies, edit them later and reuse recent currencies with one tap. Enter the exchange rate you used for each foreign-currency expense; the trip total uses those saved rates in your home currency. • Add manual place pins or tap I'm here for your current foreground location. • Photo location pins: when importing, choose Continue and allow media location access; the GPS position in each original photo becomes its pin. Photos without readable location data, or imported without locations, get no pin. • Map shows a country-level overview of recorded pins. Each trip's pins are joined in date order; the lines do not represent a travelled route. ▶ GOOD TO KNOW • A trip can span up to 3,660 days. Its home currency is fixed after creation. Missing exchange rates mark the total as incomplete; rates are entered by you. • Journal content is stored on this phone. Keep a local backup elsewhere for another copy. Deleting a trip cannot be undone. • Book photo copies are JPEG with a longest side up to 1600 px. Originals are kept unless you confirm Storage saver, which replaces them with resized copies. • HTML has a 120 MiB volume limit. PDF has a 60-photo volume limit and a memory budget. A day too large to fit can stop export; try HTML or a smaller trip. Missing photo files also block export. • Some photos carry no location data. I'm here requests foreground location permission when you use it. • Sharing opens the share sheet; it does not confirm delivery or that a file was saved elsewhere.
