A plain front-camera mirror with a fill light. Works offline, no account needed.
Minimal Mirror turns your front camera into a simple mirror. It does one thing: shows you your reflection, clearly, with as little in the way as possible. 🪞
What you can do
- See yourself live, as in a real mirror (the image is flipped left to right).
- Turn on the fill light: a soft white frame and a brighter screen to light your face in dim places.
- Adjust brightness with the slider on the right edge (the sun icon). While you adjust, auto exposure is held steady so the picture doesn't pulse.
- Pinch to zoom in, up to 4x. Double-tap to reset.
- Tap the freeze button to hold the current frame, then pinch (up to 6x) and drag to look closely at a detail. Tap again to go back to live.
Private by design 🔒
- The only permission is the camera, used only to show the mirror on your screen.
- Nothing is recorded, saved or sent. A frozen frame lives in memory only and is gone when you leave it.
- The app does not request internet access. No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking.
- The screen is not shown as a preview in the recent-apps list (Android 13 and later).
Simple to use
- Opens straight to the mirror. There are no menus in the way: the settings are behind the three-dot button at the top right.
- Portrait layout, light and dark themes (Auto, Light or Dark).
- The screens use icons instead of text wherever possible.
Good to know
- It is a mirror, not a camera: there is no photo or video capture.
- Manual brightness control depends on your phone's camera. On some devices it has no effect, and the app simply ignores it.
- A very low-light room limits how clear any front camera can be.
Support ☕
All features are free to use. If you would like to support development, there are three optional in-app items (Coffee, Lunch and Dinner-sized Support). They do not unlock anything. A small support message may appear when you open the app (the 10th time, then every 100th) and stops once you have supported.
