Siam teaches Thai from scratch, the way you need it on a trip or a long stay: say hello, order food that is not spicy, bargain at the market, tell a taxi driver where to go, rent a place and talk to a doctor. TONES YOU CAN SEE AND HEAR In Thai one syllable with a different melody is a different word. Every word comes with a clear reading and a tone mark, short words show a drawing of the melody, and exercises train you to tell the five tones apart by ear. PHRASES MADE FOR YOU: ครับ OR ค่ะ Men and women say "I" and the polite word at the end of a sentence differently. You choose who is speaking once, and the whole course, the dialogues and the audio follow.
