Wedding Seating Chart Maker is a wedding table planner for arranging guests, comparing seating versions and preparing a clear handoff for your venue. Build a wedding seating chart around your real guest list, table capacity and seating preferences, then export the version you want suppliers to use.
START WITH YOUR GUESTS AND TABLES
Create an event, add guests or import a CSV guest list, and lay out round, rectangular or head tables. Give tables useful names and capacities so the seating plan reflects the room you are working with. Import previews let you check guest information before adding it to the event.
Keep guests together when they should share a table, apart when they should not, and record softer preferences to guide placement. These rules give you a consistent way to remember family, household and other seating considerations as the plan changes. Review the guest roster alongside the layout instead of relying on separate scraps of paper.
BUILD AND CHECK A DRAFT
Place guests in a draft seating chart and inspect capacity, unseated guests and rule findings. If you want a suggested starting point, explicitly apply the rule-aware seating action to the draft. It makes a best-effort arrangement from the entered rules and available capacity; it does not promise a perfect or optimal solution.
The action does not silently change a sent version. Review any remaining conflicts or unseated guests and adjust the plan yourself. When capacity is short, add or change tables before relying on the result. Human judgment remains useful for social details that a seating rule cannot fully express.
COMPARE REVISIONS BEFORE YOU SEND
Keep named versions as the guest list develops. Separate a working draft from a version you have sent, compare changes and check which guests moved between tables. A late cancellation or newly confirmed guest can be handled in a new draft while the previous handoff remains available for reference.
Use the comparison to decide what the venue receives. You can see what changed and identify the version you are sharing, without treating every edit as an instruction to the supplier.
PREPARE THE VENUE HANDOFF
Create a PDF packet with the table diagram, guests by table, an alphabetical guest lookup and a summary of seating findings. Include version differences and optional place cards when useful. CSV export gives you a structured guest-and-table list for further handling outside the app.
Check the selected version and the exported packet before sharing it with a planner, coordinator or venue. A visual table plan and a searchable guest list serve different needs; the packet brings those views together without requiring the recipient to recreate your seating decisions.
LOOK UP GUESTS OFFLINE
Use the guest lookup on your device to find an assigned table when you are working at the venue. Guest lists, seating plans and saved versions are local, so the core planning workflow can be used offline. There is no shared online workspace or automatic collaboration feed: exporting a packet is a deliberate handoff.
KEEP A BACKUP AND CHOOSE YOUR LANGUAGE
Export a JSON backup and restore your planning data when needed. Keep the backup somewhere you control before moving devices. The app includes a manual language selector; choose the interface language in settings, and the choice is remembered. English is the default.
Wedding seating work often involves several workable arrangements rather than one mathematically perfect answer. Use the roster, rules, version history and packet checks to keep your decisions understandable as the event approaches. Review incomplete assignments and capacity findings before treating any version as ready to send.
This planner is for wedding guest seating and supplier handoffs. It does not sell tickets, synchronize multiple planners in real time or promise automatic resolution of every preference. You stay in control of the seating chart and the version you share.
