Electrician practice test for journeyman & master exams with NEC 2023 code.
Journeyman Electrician Exam offers journeyman and master electrician exam practice based on NEC 2023: code, theory and calculations, with an explanation after every question. Use it as an electrician practice test and electrical exam prep for the five core subjects, take timed mocks and return to your weak topics. Questions reference the 2023 NEC; state adoptions vary, so check which edition your state tests. PRACTICE FOR YOUR TRACK Choose journeyman or master practice and work through the questions available to that track. The bank holds 500 original questions across five subjects, with a 400-question journeyman pool and the full 500-question master pool. Questions are original study material, not official, live or retired licensing-exam items. FIVE SUBJECT AREAS Electrical Theory & Basics covers circuit relationships, power and related fundamentals. NEC General & Wiring Methods addresses code concepts for services, feeders, branch circuits, overcurrent protection and wiring methods. Equipment & Special Occupancies covers the related code-study topics. Grounding & Bonding focuses on those concepts, and Electrical Calculations gives worked practice with methods and quantities. LEARN FROM EVERY ANSWER Read the explanation after answering and use its code reference or stated fundamental to keep studying. Journeyman electrician exam prep is most useful with your NEC code book open beside the app: the explanations point you to the relevant topic, and the code itself remains the authority. The calculations deck includes recomputed arithmetic checks and identified lookup questions; that does not mean every code interpretation in every deck has been mechanically verified. TIMED LIKE A REAL EXAM The practice formats are 90 questions for journeyman and 100 for master, each with a four-hour timer and a practice pass threshold. These are representative study formats, not a description of every state or city exam. Practice percentages and the readiness indicator describe your activity in this app; they do not certify competence, issue a license or predict a passing result. FIX YOUR WEAK TOPICS Revisit missed questions, star useful cards and let spaced review bring material back in later sessions. Topic results show what to practice next. Keep your study plan aligned with your actual exam bulletin rather than assuming a high score here covers every topic your authority requires. VERIFY YOUR EDITION AND EXAM FORMAT State and local requirements differ. Texas currently lists NEC 2026, so this NEC 2023 bank is not positioned as complete preparation for the current Texas exam. Other authorities may use different editions and formats. Check your board's current bulletin, permitted references, timing and subject requirements before booking an exam.
