Construction Calculator: Feet brings feet-inch fraction math and practical material calculators to the jobsite. Work out stairs, board feet, rafters, concrete, drywall and flooring, then keep useful results in a saved history tape. Built for carpenters, framers, builders and DIY projects, it works offline without an account. The interface is in English.
FEET, INCHES AND FRACTIONS
Use a dedicated feet-inch-fraction keypad for measurements that come straight from a tape measure. Add, subtract, multiply and divide mixed measurements without first converting every fraction to a decimal. Review the result in your chosen precision and switch between imperial and metric units when a drawing, material label or measurement uses a different system.
The fraction calculator uses exact rational arithmetic for basic measurement operations. Geometric results involving square roots, angles or pi are calculated and rounded to the selected precision. That distinction matters when you carry a result from the screen to a cut list: always check the displayed precision before marking material.
STAIR CALCULATOR
Enter your staircase measurements and inspect risers, riser height, treads, total run, stringer length and slope together. A labeled diagram shows what each value represents. Code-limit flags draw attention to inputs that need review; they do not certify a staircase or replace your local building requirements. Revisit a layout before making a cut instead of keeping each step of the calculation in your head.
BOARD FOOT AND LUMBER CALCULATOR
Calculate board footage from lumber dimensions and quantity. Keep feet, inches and fractions in the same workflow when planning an order or comparing material sizes. Review the measurements and save the result to your tape so the figure is available when you return to the project.
RAFTER CALCULATOR
Work with roof run, rise, pitch, rafter length and cut angle. Include the supported ridge and overhang inputs, and use the diagram to understand the relationship between the numbers. This is a calculation aid for checking a layout, not a structural design or load-rating service.
CONCRETE, DRYWALL AND FLOORING
Estimate concrete for a slab or tube/column using your dimensions and a waste allowance. Review the calculated volume before arranging material. The concrete calculator helps with quantity planning; it does not specify a mix, assess soil or engineer a foundation.
Estimate drywall sheets for a room and flooring boxes for a floor. These material calculators keep the arithmetic close to the measurements, so you can compare a changed dimension without rebuilding the calculation on paper. Confirm packaging, actual coverage and job conditions before ordering.
A HISTORY TAPE FOR THE JOB
Save solver results and return to earlier calculations. A remembered tape is useful when moving between a drawing, the work area and a supplier: the number you checked earlier remains available without repeating the whole calculation. Keep related measurements understandable by checking the units and the solver's labeled diagram.
Use the app for construction math, woodworking measurements, stair layout, lumber quantities and material estimates. It is especially useful when a project mixes fractional inch measurements with metric information. The focused keypad and separate solvers keep these jobs distinct instead of treating every task as an ordinary decimal calculation.
OFFLINE AND ON YOUR DEVICE
Calculation and history work offline. No account is needed. History is stored locally; purchase processing is separate. Choose units, precision and a visual theme to suit your work.
Results are planning estimates. Verify dimensions, assumptions, material coverage and local building code before cutting, ordering or building. The app does not replace professional judgment, structural engineering or an inspection.
