Prepare the master. Repair the cast.
Repair cast changes, keep stage anchors, and show each performer's changes.
Dance Formations: Reblock helps rehearsal leads repair dance formations after a cast change. Keep stage reference points, work through the roles affected by a replacement, and show each performer what changed. The interface is multilingual; performer names and notes stay as you enter them. START WITH THE FORMATION YOU KNOW Create a production with its cast, roles and stage layout. Record formation snapshots around the stage anchors that matter to the piece. A saved layout gives you a concrete reference when a dancer is absent or the cast changes, instead of asking everyone to reconstruct the arrangement from memory. KEEP FIXED POINTS VISIBLE Anchors help retain the stage positions you intend to preserve. They give the repair a set of reference points rather than treating every position as interchangeable. You choose the artistic arrangement. The app organizes the recorded formation and its changes; it does not invent choreography, judge a performance or synchronize movement to music. WORK THROUGH A COVER CHAIN Assign a performer to cover an affected role and review the vacancy that move leaves behind. A replacement may solve one problem while exposing another, so keep following the chain until the required roles have an assignment. The issue list keeps unresolved work visible. A partially repaired formation should not be mistaken for a finished rehearsal instruction. MAKE A VARIANT WITHOUT LOSING THE MASTER Keep the established formation as the master reference and work on a variant for the changed cast. Review the difference between those versions before you distribute instructions. This makes a temporary replacement arrangement easier to discuss and keeps it distinct from a deliberate change to the underlying production. SHOW EACH PERFORMER THE RELEVANT CHANGE Use the comparison to see which recorded positions or assignments changed. A performer can then focus on the difference that affects their part instead of rereading the whole production. Check the role names and positions you entered: a clear comparison depends on the underlying records being correct. CHECK OPEN ISSUES BEFORE FREEZING Review the repair, unresolved assignments and stage references together. Freezing a revision gives you a defined version to use for the next rehearsal. When the cast changes again, work from the appropriate reference and make the next set of adjustments deliberately. A frozen record is a rehearsal document, not a live connection to what performers are doing on stage. EXPORT A STATIC REHEARSAL REFERENCE Create static PDF and SVG outputs from the recorded formation. Print a PDF, share the chosen file or use the SVG where a scalable diagram is useful. Exports describe the saved arrangement; they are not animated movement, recorded video or an audio cue track. Review the selected version before handing it to the cast so everyone is working from the intended revision. KEEP THE WORKFLOW UNDER YOUR CONTROL The production data and revisions are local records. Choosing to export or share creates a copy outside the app through the channel you select. Keep sensitive performer information out of a document unless you intend its recipients to receive it. Purchase processing and app updates remain separate from storage of your rehearsal work. Designed for choreographers, dance teachers and rehearsal leads who already know the piece and need a practical way to manage a change in people. It is especially useful when one absence creates a sequence of role changes, a stage point must stay fixed, or a temporary formation needs to be compared with the master. The result is a clearer cast-change record and a consistent set of diagrams to review with the people involved. It does not replace your rehearsal judgment, verify that a formation is safe to perform, or promise that a particular arrangement is artistically correct. You retain the decisions about spacing, movement and the final stage picture.
